Virtual Silliness

Here’s a quick note because it’s approaching 1am. Today was a ship day, spent cruising over 230km down the Danube with Bulgaria on one side of the river and Romania on the other. There was an earthcache during dinner, and a virtual cache that we found just after midnight.

About 25 of us wore our ship-provided bathrobes and went to the top deck to take the selfies needed to log the cache of the ship going under a certain bridge. At least a couple of people who weren’t cachers before the cruise joined us. Lukasz from the ship also took some group photos and acknowledge that he’s never before had such a request on behalf of so many people at such an hour. It’s moments like this that epitomize the community of geocachers.

Now time to go to sleep for our last day in Bulgaria; my plan is to do a post for the country after tomorrow’s adventure.
